HCP Advisory Committee members at the University of Georgia and Kennesaw State University have conducted extensive research to support the development of the HCP.

Technical committees, made up of experts from within the Etowah watershed and staffed by researchers from the University of Georgia, research policy options and make recommendations to the Steering Committee.

etowah practicum research (external site)
The Etowah Practicum is a service learning course at the University of Georgia that brings together graduate students from ecology, law, forestry, environmental design and other disciplines to tackle real-world projects for stakeholders. Many of these projects have been undertaken on behalf of the Etowah Aquatic HCP Steering Committee, Advisory Committee, and Technical Committees.
