road crossings technical committee

The design, sizing and installation of culverts and bridges affects the imperiled aquatic species covered by the HCP. Many types of culverts can serve as physical barriers to fish movement, and can also have detrimental effects on stream shape and flow, altering habitat. The Road Crossings Technical Committee is developing guidelines for the design of road crossings based on the habitat needs of the covered species.
