steering committee
The Steering Committee is made up of representatives appointed by each of the local governments within the watershed, with several non-voting members representing water and sewer authorities, NGOs, and state and federal agencies.
advisory committee
The Advisory Committee includes faculty, staff and graduate students from the University of Georgia and Kennesaw State University; representatives from The Georgia Conservancy, The Nature Conservancy, and the Upper Etowah River Alliance; and federal and state agency staff. The Advisory Committee assists the Steering Committee and ad hoc Technical Committees with scientific and legal research, public education and outreach, and organization of meetings.

conducted peer review of the critical scientific elements of the HCP, which have been published or are in press.
technical committees
Ad hoc Technical Committees are appointed by the Steering Committee. They include practitioners and experts from within the Etowah watershed and are staffed by researchers from the University of Georgia. They conduct research and make recommendations to the Steering Committee on policies and management strategies under consideration as part of the HCP. The following Technical Committees have been convened:
